Terms of Sale
Last updated: August 2026 · Michigan, United States
Thanks for choosing Grounded. These Terms of Sale explain what you're agreeing to when you purchase a consulting package or add-on service from us. We've written them in plain language on purpose — no legal jargon, just a clear explanation of how things work. Please take a few minutes to read through before completing your purchase.
Section 1 — Our services
Grounded LLC is a Michigan-based business offering landscape consulting and design services. Our core offerings are online consulting packages, which include:
- Virtual landscape consultations (one-on-one sessions via video or phone)
- Personalized design recommendations for your outdoor space
- Follow-up support as described in your package details
We primarily serve clients in the Great Lakes region, though online consulting is available more broadly.
Optional add-on
Plant delivery and on-site placement are available as an optional add-on for clients in our service area. This is not included in any standard consulting package unless clearly indicated at checkout.
Section 2 — Pricing and payment
The price for each package or add-on is shown clearly on our website and at checkout before you complete your purchase. There are no hidden fees.
| Topic | What to expect |
|---|---|
| When payment is due | Payment is collected in full at the time of purchase. |
| Accepted payment methods | Payment methods are listed at checkout — major credit and debit cards, Link, and Cash App Pay. |
| Sales tax | Sales tax will be applied where required under Michigan law. |
If you have a question about pricing before purchasing, reach out to us at hello@grounded-mi.com and we're happy to help.
Section 3 — What's included
Each package includes exactly what's described on the product page and at checkout. We want you to know what you're getting before you pay — so if something is unclear, please ask before purchasing.
If anything about your package changes for any reason (which we'll do our best to avoid), we'll reach out to you in advance to explain and make it right.
Section 4 — Scheduling and delivery of services
Once your purchase is complete, you'll schedule your consulting session through Grounded's online booking system. You'll receive a confirmation with instructions on how to access it. Here's what to expect:
- Booking: Sessions are self-scheduled through our booking link, subject to availability.
- Format: Consulting sessions are delivered via video call, phone, or email — depending on your package and what's discussed at booking.
- Response times: We aim to respond to any messages or follow-up inquiries within 2–3 business days.
- Design recommendations: Any written materials or design documents will be delivered digitally (typically via email) within the timeframe noted in your package description.
Section 5 — Cancellations and refunds
We want you to feel good about your purchase. Here's our straightforward policy:
- Full refund: You can cancel within 48 hours of purchase for a full refund, as long as your session has not yet taken place.
- No refund after service delivery: Once a consulting session or service has been delivered, we're unable to offer a refund.
- Rescheduling: Life happens. If you need to move your appointment, just contact us with reasonable notice and we'll do our best to find a new time that works.
Heads up
If you no-show a scheduled session without notice, this is treated as a delivered service and is not eligible for a refund or automatic reschedule. Please reach out ahead of time if something comes up.
To request a cancellation or reschedule, email us at hello@grounded-mi.com.
Section 6 — Plant delivery and placement (add-on)
If you've selected the optional plant delivery and placement add-on, a few extra terms apply:
- Delivery and placement are available within Grounded's designated service area in the Great Lakes region. We'll confirm your eligibility before completing your order.
- By selecting this add-on, you agree to the terms outlined in our separate Liability Waiver, which covers on-site work and plant handling.
- Plant survival is not guaranteed. Once plants have been delivered and placed, Grounded is not responsible for how they fare after that point. Plant health depends on many factors — soil conditions, weather, watering, and care — that are outside our control.
We'll always do our best to select healthy, appropriate plants for your region and give you care guidance, but we can't make promises about long-term outcomes.
Section 7 — Limitation of liability
Grounded LLC stands behind its services, but we want to be upfront about the limits of what we can be held responsible for.
- If something goes wrong with a service you purchased, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that specific service.
- We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — for example, costs arising from decisions made based on our recommendations, or issues beyond the scope of what we provided.
This isn't us avoiding accountability — it's a standard protection for small businesses. We're committed to delivering quality work and resolving any issues that are genuinely within our control.
Section 8 — Governing law
These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from a purchase with Grounded LLC will be resolved in the courts of the State of Michigan.
If you have a concern, we always encourage you to contact us directly first — most issues can be resolved with a simple conversation.
Section 9 — Contact us
